Conner Insurance founder and WWII veteran Henry Clay Conner Jr. entered the world of insurance with Aetna, where he attended their insurance school. Clay focused on delivering clients with unrivaled experience and innovative personal attention. These values helped him create his own firm shortly after in 1949.
Established in Indianapolis, Conner Insurance got its start in a mall basement. Through Clay’s perceptive programs for his clients and highly personal attention to everyone he worked with, we quickly grew.
Initially, our organization was known for property & casualty and life insurance. Through bringing on the brightest and most sought-after team members in the market, forming lasting relationships with clients, and innovative program design, our offerings expanded into the full-service firm it is today.
