Conner Insurance Among Healthiest Employers

The team at Conner Insurance is proud to share that we’ve been named a finalist for 2019 in the Healthiest Employer of Indiana Awards program, a nationally-recognized awards program powered by the Springbuk Health Intelligence Platform! As previous finalists, our team felt confident that our wellness-oriented culture and commitment would stand apart among Indiana employers, and we’re thrilled to be named again in the highest caliber of employers in the state when it comes to keeping employees healthy, happy and satisfied.

Conner was evaluated along with hundreds of other Indiana employers across six key categories, combining to form a holistic view of the state of wellness. When looking at culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics, award organizers, we stood out as we have in the past. Deemed as finalists in the top group of wellness-focused companies within Indiana, this award also placed Conner in the running for the national award and showcased our ability to stand out at every level.

Over the past decade, Conner Insurance has placed a great emphasis on health in order to lower healthcare spending, build a culture that allows individuals to thrive both personally and professionally, and provide an ongoing demonstration to clients of why health is important. An innovative workplace kitchen has provided the opportunity for more healthy snacks and freshly prepared meals for the Conner team, as well as healthy cooking demos coordinated with our health and wellness partners. We’ve worked hard to regularly provide health education and conduct group health education, onsite stretching and fitness opportunities, game days, standing workstations and health competitions – initiatives that have been central to our internal health and wellness goals.

As prior finalists, this isn’t the first time that Conner’s commitment to health has gained national attention. For four consecutive years, Conner Insurance was a recipient of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America Award from the Healthiest Employers organization, in recognition of excellence across six critical elements of workplace wellness. We were selected as Healthiest Employers of Indiana in 2016 in the 2-99 employee category amongst all nominated finalists, and we won the Small Business Well Workplace Award in 2013 and 2015 by the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA). Additionally, we’ve been recognized by the American Heart Association as a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite for the significant physical activity and wellness programs we have put in place for our employees.
